When you think of Halloween music, what do you think of? The “Monster Mash”? The Misfits? Maybe a few of the songs from A Nightmare Before Christmas? Chances are, your mind doesn’t jump directly to classical music. But there are no rules for artoberVA, and on Sunday, Classical Revolution RVA is going to help those worlds collide in a beautiful way!

“We are a Richmond-based collective of passionate musicians,” says the Classical Revolution RVA website. “Our goal is to integrate classical music with Richmond’s vibrant music scene by taking this universal art form out of its glass case and into local bars, restaurants, cafes, and galleries.”

With that mission in mind, Classical Revolution RVA will be performing “Classical Incarnations” on Sunday at Balliceaux, starting at 8 pm. The show will feature musical selections leaning toward the dark and spooky side. Costumes aren’t required, but come on – wear a costume!

The event is free, but organizers recommend arriving early if you’d like to secure a seat. For more information, check out the Facebook event page. Happy Halloween and Happy artoberVA!
